Robert Pattinson Sets First Post-Breakup Interview on 'Good Morning America'

As the drama surrounding Kristen Stewart's cheating on Robert Pattinson finally lulls a bit, it looks as though at least one half of the embattled couple is ready to step back out into the spotlight.

Pattinson has officially set his first television appearance and interview since his split with K-Stew for August 15, when the "Twilight" Brit will appear on "Good Morning America." The appearance might be to simply promote Pattinson's upcoming movie "Cosmopolis" or to generate some buzz for "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2," but we can't help but think that the subject of Kristen will come up.

Since the scandal, both K-Stew and R-Pattz have been in hiding, avoiding the inevitable storm of paparazzi that would occur if they set foot in Los Angeles. Pattinson reportedly stayed at Reese Witherspoon's place for a bit, and is now kicking around Ojai.

Stewart is lying even lower, as she is reportedly holed up with her parents. She has not set any interviews, and her only official statement thus far has been the apology that she issued once news of the scandal broke.

As for "Good Morning America," you can bet they're skipping with glee over landing a guest like Rob at a time like this. I'm no fortune teller, but my guess would be that ratings will be up on August 15.
